AAI announces opening of all closed airports for civilian use


New Delhi 12 May 2025:

Airports Authority of India has issued an NOTAM in regard to the opening of all 32 Indian airports available for civil Aircraft operations with immediate effect. They were temporary closed for civil Aircraft operations till 05:29 hrs of 15 May 2025.It is informed that these Airports are now available for civil Aircraft operations with immediate effect.

The airports that were closed are : Jammu, Pathankot, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Shimla, Dharamshala, Jamnagar, Srinagar, Leh, Amritsar and Chandigarh including others making 32 in total.

It is recommended for travellers to check flight status directly with Airlines and monitor Airline’s websites for regular updates.
