inter airport Global 2027: A Global Event Shaped for Airport Operations

To be held on 12 – 14 October 2027 at Fiera Milano Rho, Milan

Following the milestone 25th edition of inter airport Europe in October 2025, event organiser RX today announces a major evolution of the world’s leading airport operations exhibition. In 2027, the event will relocate to Milan, Italy, and rebrand under a new global identity: inter airport Global.

This transformation reflects the increasing complexity, scale, and inter connectivity of modern airport operations. The new event positions inter airport Global as a truly international platform, focused on addressing the real-world challenges facing airport operators today — from resilient infrastructure and air side efficiency to sustainability, capacity growth, security, and passenger flow optimisation.

Milan: A Globally Connected Destination

A globally connected and operationally relevant hub, with two major international airports located in close proximity to Fiera Milano — ensures excellent accessibility for international attendees facilitating direct engagement with airport operators, infrastructure owners, and service providers.

Introducing GSE Live: Equipment and Technology in Action

A key enhancement for 2027 is the launch of GSE Live, a dedicated showcase for ground support equipment, complemented by a structured programme of live demonstrations.
This hands-on format is designed to support more informed procurement and specification decisions, particularly within air side operations, ramp services, and fleet modernisation programmes.

Together, inter airport Global and GSE Live will cover the full airport operations ecosystem — spanning terminal systems, airfield infrastructure, GSE, logistics, fuelling, and inter-modal connectivity. Exhibits, demonstrations and case studies will focus on solutions that deliver measurable efficiency gains, improved sustainability, enhanced safety, and an optimised passenger experience.

Industry Voice

Syreeta Tranfield, Event Director of inter airport Global, said:“inter airport Global builds on the strong foundation of inter airport Europe and evolves to meet the needs of an increasingly connected, technology-driven airport ecosystem.

Milan, a vibrant and well-connected international city, provides a central platform where real-world case studies, practical technologies, and the experts behind them come together — driving improvements in efficiency, safety, sustainability, and passenger experience across global airport operations.”

Matteo Trezzi, International Attraction Director, Fiera Milano Said: “Hosting inter airport Global in Milan is a source of great satisfaction for us and confirms Fiera Milano’s role as a strategic partner for leading international organisers. With state-of-the-art infrastructure, integrated services and international operational standards, we are able to effectively support highly specialised global events. Welcoming an exhibition focused on the future of airport operations is also an important opportunity for both Milan and Fiera Milano.”

A Strong Platform for Airport Decision-Makers

Milan’s cosmopolitan and central location is expected to attract a truly international audience, further strengthened by Italy’s extensive airport network. With more than 6,000 airport operations leaders and solution providers from over 110 countries, inter airport Global will remain a key meeting point for the airport operations community.

The 2027 edition will also feature a significantly expanded international hosted buyer programme, welcoming carefully qualified airport solution specifiers with active and upcoming projects.

Hosted buyers will be selected based on their ability to influence, specify, or procure operational solutions, ensuring highly focused, results-driven engagement between airport operators, engineering teams, planners, and solution providers.

Knowledge, Collaboration, and Practical Insight

Knowledge exchange remains central to the event’s value. The 2027 programme will include free-to-attend conference sessions, round tables, and technical workshops covering key operational themes, including:
• Airside and terminal efficiency
• Capacity planning and operational resilience
• Sustainable airport operations
• Digitalisation, automation, and data-driven decision-making
• Passenger experience

Enhanced networking and matchmaking tools will further support peer-to-peer collaboration, enabling airport operations leaders to connect with counterparts facing similar challenges and identify trusted partners for future projects.

Shaping the Future of Airport Operations

Through its exhibition, live demonstrations, hosted buyer programme, and curated knowledge sessions, inter airport Global will connect the entire airport operations ecosystem — equipping industry professionals with practical insights, proven solutions, and forward-looking strategies.
