Toulouse, France, 23 June 2026: AURA AERO, French aerospace manufacturer dedicated to the development and industrialization of low-carbon aircraft for civil and military use has acquired VOLTAERO, a French company based in  Rochefort and a pioneer in electric and hybrid-electric propulsion systems. This transaction brings together two complementary areas of French expertise around a common goal: to accelerate the decarbonization of aviation with concrete, certifiable, and industrially viable solutions developed in France. This acquisition provides AURA AERO with rare experience in hybrid-electric architectures and experimental aeronautical development: design, system integration, testing, flight operations, and data analysis. This expertise, accumulated by VOLTAERO over several years of work, finds its most concrete expression in the Cassio S, a hybrid-electric flying demonstrator. Since the start of its flight testing in 2019, it has completed more than 270 flights and covered approximately 15,500 miles under a variety of operating conditions. It thus serves as tangible proof of technological maturity and a direct catalyst for AURA AERO’s electric and hybrid-electric developments. The transaction also includes key technological and industrial assets: patents, engineering expertise, prototyping capabilities, infrastructure in Rochefort, and part of VOLTAERO’s team. It gives AURA AERO additional leverage to accelerate its electric and hybrid developments, particularly in connection with its INTEGRAL and ERA programs, the 19-seat hybrid-electric regional aircraft, and its ENBATA drone project. The VOLTAERO site in Rochefort strengthens this execution capability. With over 25,000 sq. ft dedicated to assembly, engineering, testing, and industrial operations, and direct access to the runway, it provides AURA AERO with a complementary operational base for prototyping, integrating, testing, and refining new architectures. This acquisition marks an important milestone for AURA AERO. It brings a proven demonstrator, flight data, patented technologies, industrial resources, and rare expertise to a manufacturer already engaged in the design, certification, and production of low-carbon aircraft. Launched by the Transport and Logistics Bureau and supported by Hong Kong’s Civil Aviation Department, “Regulatory Sandbox X” takes an open, forward-looking approach to compliant test flights, scenario validation, and iterative technology upgrades for innovative unmanned aircraft. The aim is to pave the way for low‑carbon, high‑efficiency air mobility. Two of the four approved projects will be carried out using AutoFlight’s heavy-lift eVTOL, underscoring the company’s R&D strength, extensive flight‑test experience, and commercial readiness. AutoFlight will work with partners including China Travel Service (Hong Kong) Automobile Services Limited and AECOM Limited on route planning, flight-parameter calibration, and end-to-end flight validation. Together, these efforts will steadily widen the scope of low-altitude commercial applications across the region. Xie Jia, senior vice president of AutoFlight, noted that AutoFlight will use this opportunity to deepen its investment in core eVTOL technology and commercial deployment, supporting Hong Kong’s emerging low-altitude transport network. This announcement follows the unveiling of the innovative 4 TROOP tactical vehicle, presented by the two Groups yesterday. Through this collaboration, production of loitering munition could begin as early as 2027, with a manufacturing capacity of 1,000 units per month from the first year, marking a significant ramp-up in France’s industrial capacities in this strategic field. This partnership will help secure a resilient and sovereign supply of munitions for France, while addressing the evolving operational and strategic requirements of the armed forces and strengthening the competitiveness of the national defence industry. Designed for high-intensity conflicts, the TOUTATIS short-range loitering munition provides armed forces with a new operational advantage. Highly versatile, it can be deployed by dismounted soldiers and launched from a variety of platforms (combat vehicles, aircraft and naval platforms). Resistant to electromagnetic jamming and equipped with a mission-configurable warhead, TOUTATIS is capable of neutralising targets such as combat vehicles while ensuring human operators remain in the decision-making loop. GAVIÃO PEIXOTO, BRAZIL, 9th April, 2026: Eve Air Mobility has reached its 50th successful test flight with its full-scale engineering prototype, accumulating over two hours of flight time. Since the aircraft’s first flight on Dec. 19, 2025, these flights have generated high fidelity data and knowledge gains that are strengthening Eve’s understanding of performance and systems behavior as the company advances toward the future certification pathway of its eVTOL. “Reaching 50 successful test flights with our engineering prototype is more than a technical milestone. It is clear evidence of the maturity of our program and the strength of the solutions we are building,” said Johann Bordais, chief executive officer at Eve. “Eve is uniquely positioned to deliver not only a high performance eVTOL aircraft but also aftermarket services, operational and airspace solutions that customers and cities will require to deploy urban air mobility at scale.” The fast pace of testing continues to validate the performance and operational capability of Eve’s eVTOL. This achievement spotlights the company’s product development process, based on the proven Embraer methodology. This consists of an integrated approach that combines aircraft development with solutions to help operators, cities, vertiports and air navigation providers prepare for the introduction of urban aviation. The results and knowledge gained from flights with the full-scale engineering prototype are central to the development of Eve’s conforming prototypes and the commercial aircraft. The company expects to begin producing its conforming prototypes this year, progressing toward a total of six that will be used in the certification flight test campaign with Brazil’s civil aviation authority, ANAC. With 50 test flights completed, Eve is now expanding flight envelope evaluations, gradually increasing forward speed, evaluating energy management, controllability and stability, noise and vibration, among others, leading to full transition flights later this year.

Chennai,February 26, 2026: The ePlane Company has opened its state-of-the-art prototyping and testing facility at the IIT Madras Discovery Campus in Thaiyur. Spanning 60,000 sq. ft., the site is the nation’s first integrated plant dedicated to the serial production of electric aircraft, signaling a pivotal shift in India’s Urban Air Mobility (UAM) sector from initial design concepts & subscale prototypes to flight-ready hardware and certification-grade fullscale prototyping. The facility was officially inaugurated by Professor V. Kamakoti, Padma Shri recipient and Director of IIT Madras. His vision for the 163-acre Discovery Campus has been instrumental in providing the high-tech infrastructure necessary for deep-tech ventures to scale. A Strategic Hub for Industrial-Scale Aerospace The facility will support key development milestones, including tethered hover testing, as the company progresses toward Type Certification. It houses design, prototyping, integration, and subsystem testing teams in a single location and serves as the engineering hub for the passenger, relief, and cargo eVTOLs. The site includes composite fabrication, electric powertrain assembly, avionics testing, and a dedicated Ground Test Vehicle (GTV) facility to support subsystem validation and full-scale development. Gurugram, 19th February 2026: AVPL International has announced a strategic association with DeHaat and Farmers City India (FCIPL) to jointly train approximately 1,40,000 agri and drone entrepreneurs across India over the next five years. This collaboration aims to establish one of India’s largest integrated rural entrepreneurship ecosystems by combining skill development, agri-retail expansion, drone technology deployment, electric mobility enablement and structured credit facilitation under a unified framework. The key focus of the initiative is a structured “Technology-as-a-Service” model designed specifically for rural India. The objective is to ensure that every new and emerging technology reaching rural India is not just introduced, but delivered as a structured service that can actively transform the rural economy. By embedding technology directly within local enterprise ecosystems, this association will encourage youth towards entrepreneurship and would lead modernisation of agricultural practices. AVPL and Farmer’s City will establish and operate training centres across India, where DeHaat and AVPL will train youth as per curriculum aligned with NSDC and ASCI-certified standards to ensure nationally recognized qualifications and industry-relevant competencies. The Successful trainees will be supported in establishing agri-input retail stores under DeHaat’s dealership model, strengthening last-mile access to farm inputs, advisory services and technology solutions. Pursuant to the training, the trained Dronepreneurs will be deployed within DeHaat’s retail network under a structured Drone-as-a-Service (DaaS) framework. These services will support precision spraying, crop health monitoring and data-driven advisory, help to improve farm productivity. The integrated retail-plus-drone approach is designed to create a cohesive rural service ecosystem that combines inputs, advisory and technology deployment at the grassroots level. As part of the broader rural entrepreneurship strategy, the initiative will also promote EV-led enterprise opportunities . In order to reduce entry barriers for first-generation entrepreneurs, this association will facilitate institutional credit access, including support under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan (CM-YUVA) scheme in Uttar Pradesh. Joint bankable project proposals will be developed to enable eligible trainees to secure funding and establish their enterprises with structured financial backing. What was once the domain of helicopters and the occasional news or medical flight is now being joined by delivery drones, surveillance platforms and a new generation of electric air taxis known as eVTOLs (electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft). Below 3,000 feet, urban airspace is becoming one of the most active and complex transportation environments in the world. This transformation brings enormous opportunity. Urban air mobility promises quicker journeys, reduced pressure on congested roads, and cleaner, quieter aircraft. But it also presents a serious challenge: how do thousands of aircraft safely share the same narrow band of sky over busy cities? Without smart management, this airspace could become as crowded as the roads below — undermining safety, reliability and public confidence. That is why the future of urban aviation depends not just on new aircraft, but on new ways of managing the sky. WHY TRADITIONAL AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL ISN’T ENOUGH Conventional air traffic control was designed for large aircraft flying at high altitudes between major airports. It works exceptionally well for commercial jets, but it was never built to handle thousands of low-level flights operating autonomously, on demand, and often within dense urban environments. To solve this, aviation authorities and technology providers are building a new digital layer of airspace management called Unmanned Traffic Management, or UTM. UTM platforms act like an intelligent traffic system for the sky. They coordinate aircraft in real time, assign flight corridors, automatically detect conflicts, and reroute traffic when weather, emergencies or congestion arise. Unlike traditional ATC, much of this process is automated, allowing vast numbers of drones, helicopters, and eVTOLs to operate safely simultaneously. A GLOBAL SHIFT IS ALREADY UNDERWAY This is no longer theoretical. Regulators around the world are actively rolling out frameworks to integrate UTM with existing air traffic systems. In the United States, the FAA is developing nationwide rules for remote identification, digital flight authorisation and drone-to-ATC coordination. In Europe, EASA is implementing the U-Space framework, which allows drones and air taxis to fly safely even near major airports and busy cities. Live trials in places such as Los Angeles, Paris, Singapore and Dubai have already demonstrated mixed operations — where cargo drones, helicopters and passenger air taxis operate side-by-side using AI-driven flight planning, weather integration and automated safety systems. The goal is simple: increase airspace capacity without increasing risk. Chennai, 7th January 2026: Following the launch of its defence drone facility, Garuda Aerospace inaugurated its Drone Battery Manufacturing Facility in Chennai and hosted Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, Director General, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).The DG highlighted the growing collaboration between India’s civil aviation regulator and the country’s rapidly evolving drone industry. The event was conducted in collaboration with the Bharat Drone Udaan event associated with the Bharat Drone Association at Garuda Aerospace Ltd Operation Centre. The DG, DGCA also inaugurated the new Academic Block at Garuda Aerospace’s DGCA-approved Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO). The expanded academic infrastructure is aimed at enhancing training capacity, strengthening curriculum delivery, and meeting the rising demand for certified drone pilots across key sectors such as agriculture, infrastructure, defence, disaster management, and logistics. The Director General also unveiled the “Garuda Bharat Drone Udaan Impact Book,” highlighting Garuda Aerospace’s journey, key milestones, and contributions to the evolution of Make in India drone technology. The book further showcases the impact of drone technology across rural and industrial India and reflects the company’s focus on responsible drone adoption, ecosystem building, and inclusive growth.
