Embraer (NYSE: EMBJ / B3: EMBJ3), a global leader in the aerospace industry, reported backlog of US$34.5 billion in the second quarter of 2026 (2Q26). Continuing an upward trend for seven consecutive quarters, the figure set a new record once again, rising 7% from the level reported in 1Q26 and 16% higher than the level reached in the same period last year (2Q25).
In Commercial Aviation, the backlog totaled US$15.1 billion, up 15% from a year earlier. The result was driven by Azorra’s new order for 15 E195-E2 aircraft, pushing the E2 program beyond the milestone of 500 firm orders, with customers across all continents. During the Farnborough Airshow, Embraer disclosed Fuji Dream Airlines as the customer behind an order for two E175 aircraft. The jets had already been included in the backlog and were previously listed as firm orders from an undisclosed customer. Commercial Aviation ended the quarter with a 1.8x book-to-bill ratio based on the last 12 months.
In Executive Aviation, the order backlog increased to US$7.8 billion, 5% above the level recorded in 2Q25. The business unit’s outlook is further strengthened by the triple certification of the new Praetor 600E and Praetor 500E models by aviation regulators during the second quarter. Introduced to the market in 2026, both jets have now been certified by Brazil’s Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC – Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) of the United States, and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). Executive Aviation posted a 1.1x book-to-bill ratio over the last 12 months.
In Defense & Security, the backlog totaled US$6.1 billion, representing a 42% increase from a year earlier, driven by a landmark agreement with the United Arab Emirates involving the C-390 Millennium. The deal includes 10 firm orders and 10 options, representing the largest international order from a single country for the multi-mission aircraft and signaling its entry into the Middle East market. Defense & Security reported a 2.6x book-to-bill ratio over the last 12 months.
Also at a record level, the Services & Support backlog rose to US$5.5 billion, up 12% compared with the second quarter of 2025. During 2Q26, the business unit announced a long-term support agreement with Jazz Aviation, which became the first customer in Canada to join Embraer’s Collaborative Inventory Planning program. Additionally, Embraer signed a new support agreement for the Brazilian Air Force’s (FAB) KC-390 Millennium fleet, covering both aircraft already in service and future deliveries. As a result, the Services & Support business unit ended the quarter with a 1.3x book-to-bill ratio for the last 12 months.
