EDGE Group to showcase acceleration of defence technology at DAS 2021

BCAS, Bengaluru to organize a virtual seminar on Civil Aviation Security

Bengaluru, July 27, 2021: Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), Bengaluru will organise a virtual seminar on Civil Aviation Security on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav on July 28 & 29, 2021 at the Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru. BCAS as a regulatory authority stipulates standards and measures in respect of security of civil aviation in India.The two-day seminar will be virtually inaugurated on July 28, 2021 by Jaideep Prasad, IPS, Joint Director General -BCAS, in the presence of special guests Hari Marar, MD & CEO, Bangalore International Airport Limited, SK Mohanka, CASO, DIG-CISF and Rajiv Kumar Rai, Regional Director, BCAS, Bengaluru. Stakeholders from the aviation ecosystem would participate in the seminar that will see discussions on issues related to security as well as ways to address latest and emerging threats on civil aviation. The seminar is in line with International Civil Aviation Organisation’s (ICAO) theme for the year ‘Year of Security Culture’.

3rd Edition of Helicopter Summit to be held in Dehradun on 27th August 2021

MAKS-2021 Air Show to be held from 20-25 July in Zhukovsky Moscow

29 June 2021, Moscow MAKS-2021 International Air Show will be held from July 20 to 25 at the Gromov Flight Research Institute’s airfield in Zhukovsky, near Moscow. This is rated as one of the premier air show as one can see the best export versions of Russian aircraft and armaments, air defense and electronic warfare assets, including new products no air show in Zhukovsky can do without. In 2021, we have invited more than 120 delegations from 65 countries and are going to unveil the IL-112B, IL-114-300 aircraft, Ka-32A11M, Ansat-M, Mi-171A3 helicopters, as well as the S-350 Vityaz long-range SAM system,” said Alexander Mikheev, Director General of Rosoboronexport. In addition, among the new products launched at MAKS-2021, the virtual reality Su-35 and Su-57E pilot station simulators, presented by Sukhoi (a Rostec subsidiary), will surely be of interest to foreign partners. The official sponsor of the MAKS-2021,Rosoboronexport JSC (part of the Rostec State Corporation) will showcase the Globe touch-screen-based interactive multimedia installation. With this installation, visitors will be able to see 38 3D models of advanced defense products, their performance data, and view photos and videos. In addition, scaled models of the IL-76MD-90A(E) military transport aircraft, Mi-35M transport/attack helicopter, Ka-52 scout/attack helicopter, Mi-26T2 heavy-lift transport helicopter, and the Mi-17V-5 military transport helicopter (an export version of the Mi-8MTV-5 helicopter) will be on display at the stand. Rosoboronexport also prepared multimedia presentations of products promoted in external markets such as the Su-35, MiG-35/35D, IL-76MD-90A(E) and IL-78MK-90A aircraft, Ka-52, Mi-28NE, Mi-35M, Mi-35P, Mi-17V-5, Mi-8AMTSh-VA, Mi-171Sh and Mi-38T helicopters, air defense systems and equipment: S-400 air defense missile system, Viking, Buk-M2E, Tor-M2KM, Tor-M2 SAM systems, Pantsir-S1M and Pantsir-S1 SPAAGM systems, Verba and Igla-S MANPADS, radars and EW systems.

Red Arrows, Canadian Snowbirds and F4 Phantom fly-in to support Aerobility’s Armchair Airshow Aviators from around the world are coming together in support of disabled flying – giving their time to participate in Aerobility’s Armchair Airshow 2021, which will livestream on Saturday, 29th May at 14:00 hrs BST. Global Airport Leaders Forum (GALF) to take off in Dubai on May 24

*8th edition to be held at DWTC over three days *50-plus speakers to address physically/virtually *GCAA, GDRFA and SIRA chiefs to speak *Israeli airports to join for the first time *Focus on Digital Transformation and Security Readiness post-pandemic Dubai, May 18, 2021: After holding it in digital format in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Global Airport Leaders Forum (GALF) will be staged for the eighth time at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from May 24 to 26.As a co-located event of the 20th edition of Airport Show, the world’s largest airport industry B2B event, the much-anticipated aviation industry gathering will see 50-plus speakers addressing the participants, both physically and virtually. Talking virtually will be His Excellency Saif Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and His Excellency Major General Khalifa Ibrahim Al Saleis, CEO of Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA) that was set up in 2016 to provide Dubai with the highest levels of safety and security.
