Helicopter Summit 2021

FICCI in collaboration with Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India, and supported by Government of Uttarakhand and Pawan Hans Ltd. are organizing the third edition of Helicopter Summit 2021 with the theme ‘India@75: Expediting the Growth of Indian Helicopter Industry and Enhancing Air Connectivity’ in a Phygital (Physical + Digital) Form at Hotel Pacific, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Please note that the 3rd Helicopter Summit 2021 is rescheduled to 7th October 2021 from 1430 hrs to 1800 hrs IST.

Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, Hon’ble Minister of Civil Aviation, Government of India will be the Chief Guest of the summit. The summit will also have the presence of other senior officials from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, state governments and the entire ecosystem of the aviation industry including the operators, MRO providers, regulators, Financing & Leasing companies. It will be platform to bring together all the stakeholders of the helicopter industry and exchange their ideas to take the sector to the highest level.

FOREWORD

Dear Reader’s,

The current edition of Aviation World has covered many areas of Aerospace & Defence based on the latest development in the sector. The front cover highlights three different images, first for the Union Civil Aviation Minister ….. who is leading from the front to steer Indian Civil Aviation sector to witness one of the most interesting phases. He is also facing most tumultuous timing due to the ongoing financial stress in the Aviation sector due to ATF rising cost and long airspace restrictions resulting in mounting losses for Indian carriers. Despite of all the ground level challenges,the minister is addressing new things on regular basis which keeps the sector motivated. We have featured many such developmental works in this edition done under his guidance which will be interesting to read.

Our lead story on “ The West War” is another important feature which covers the ground level reality of the challenges faced by the Aviation sector. Its though time ahead and we believe it will pass soon .

There are features on Regional connectivity and MoCA revised rules on the UDAN 2.0 and how its going to transform the flying experience within India.
