Jettwings Airways gets MOCA NOC, to start operation with ERJ175 in North East

New Delhi, 14th June, 2023:

Jettwings Airways, today announced that it has received the NOC to operate Scheduled Commuter Air Transport Services. The airline plans to offer regional connectivity to passengers under the UDAN Scheme to a number of destinations in the Northeast and eastern region initially.

Jettwings Airways has been established with a vision to revolutionize regional connectivity by delivering superior service, comfort and convenience to passengers. Post all regulatory approvals and AOC from the DGCA, the airline, with its base in Guwahati, plans to introduce a fleet of modern flight deck turbo fan aircrafts in addition to turbo propelled ones for regional connectivity with premium economy services to its passengers.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sanjive Narain, Chairman, Jettwings Airways said, “The Government’s unwavering commitment and efforts to improve air connectivity through RCS by connecting regional airports has significantly improved trade for particular regions while fostering economic growth and has given huge fillip to the development of the tourism sector. We believe that under the UDAN Scheme, we have a unique opportunity to make significant impact on the Northeast region by improving connectivity and creating new economic opportunities.”

Sanjay Aditya Singh, Co-Founder and CEO, Jettwings Airlines commenting on the occasion said, “We are thankful to Ministry of Civil Aviation for providing us the Initial NOC and we will be working closely with DGCA to complete our readiness and formalities for Schedule Commuter Airlines operations. Once we are granted the AOC, we strongly believe and commit to becoming a reliable and sustainable airline with its roots deeply entrenched in North East India, connecting unique yet important destinations. An airline born in the North East with the sense of doing business in India was much needed and Jettwings Airways shall strive to achieve the same in next few months of our preparations as we near take off.”

Jettwings Airways believes that even regional connectivity demands reliable, quick and high-quality service and to address that, a team of talented and seasoned aviation professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional service to its customers have been assembled to run the airline. The airline also plans to offer a loyalty program to reward frequent flyers, eventually.

While the company is well funded and adequately capitalised to start and sustain operations, believes in offering a differentiated product to communities that require options for safe and comfortable travel. By providing premium economy services, Jettwings Airways intends to add options to travellers looking to travel to or from the Northeast.

Once approved for flight operations, Jettwings Airways will be the first ever company from the Northeast region to operate airline operations in the country. Jettwings Airways is entering a highly competitive aviation market, but the company is confident that it can carve out a niche for itself by offering a unique and innovative travel experience.
