Kamesh Kasana took charge as Director (Other Units) of Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) on July 14, 2025. He was working as General Manager of BEL’s Military Communication Strategic Business Unit (SBU) in Bengaluru prior to his elevation.

Kamesh Kasana, who joined BEL in 1993, brings with him over three decades of distinguished experience in Defence electronics. Throughout his career, he has made significant contributions to the indigenisation, modernisation, and strategic growth of BEL’s portfolio, playing a vital role in strengthening India’s Defence capabilities.

An alumnus of NIT Kurukshetra with a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, he also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and is certified in Six Sigma (Green Belt, DMAIC) and as a Project Management Professional (PMP). His initiatives helped BEL build stronger partnerships, improve delivery timelines, and ensure sustainable business growth.

In his new role as Director (Other Units), Kasana envisions transforming BEL’s other units into centres of technological excellence, resilience, and global competitiveness. His priorities include accelerating innovation through cutting-edge R&D, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, space technologies, and quantum computing; strengthening operational efficiency and supply chain robustness; deepening collaborations with DRDO, ISRO, private industry, MSMEs, and global partners; and advancing BEL’s commitment to renewable energy and sustainability.
