Union of Comoros and Honorary Consular Corps Diplomatique – INDIA Hosts an evening to commemorate Consular Day

Delhi, 5th April 2023:

Honorary Consular Corps Diplomatique-India organised an evening to acknowledge Consular Day in new Delhi. The gathering witnessed the momentous felicitation of “Vivek Burman (Dabur) Peace Prize” bestowed to Padma Shri Mr. Jitender Singh Shunty, and Hon’ble Mr. Suresh Chukkapalli, Hony. Consul General of South Korea.

On the occasion, Mr. K.L Ganju said that the Hony. Consuls in India are playing a pivotal role in delivering consular services and also flourishing economic and bilateral relations between the sending and the receiving countries.

The Chief Guest for the event was H.E Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Minister of state for Ministry of Education and Ministry of External Affairs, H.E. Mr. Alem Tsehaye Woldemariam, High Commissioner of Eritrea and Dean of the diplomatique corp and Excellency Mr. Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Padma Shri Member (Rajya Sabha)were the Guest of Honour.

The eminent guests who graced the occasion with their presence included Mr. V.K. Duggal, Former Governor, Hon’ble Mr. Vivek Burman, Hony.Consul General of Nicaragua, Chairman Emeritus Dabur India Ltd, International Dance Maestro, Padma Shri Ms. Shovna Narayan, International Dance Guru, Padma vibhushan Dr. Sonal Mansingh. Also, the event has presence of Ambassadors, High Commissioners and Hony. Consuls from all over India alongwith officials of the Ministry of External Affairs and who’s of Delhi.

Despite of all the ground level challenges,the minister is addressing new things on regular basis which keeps the sector motivated. Our lead story on “ The West War” is another important feature which covers the ground level reality of the challenges faced by the Aviation sector. Its though time ahead and we believe it will pass soon .
