AUSTIN, TX, October 23, 2026 :
Archer Aviation revealed plans for three air taxi networks serving Austin, Dallas and Houston with the goal of increasing connectivity between major airports, business districts, and coastal destinations in the fastest growing megaregion in the United States.
The Texas Triangle is home to more than 20 million people and several of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the country. Commuters in Houston, Dallas–Fort Worth and Austin lose days each year sitting in traffic, with congestion costing the state billions in lost time, productivity, and infrastructure costs.
Archer’s planned air taxi networks in the state are designed to give Texans an option to skip over traffic on its all-electric Midnight air taxi, turning 60–90 minute drives to major airports, business districts and major destinations into 10–20 minute flights.
“Texas is setting the bar for America’s leadership in the next generation of aviation,” said Adam Goldstein, Founder and CEO of Archer Aviation. “Our planned networks will make the benefits of electric air taxis real for Texans — trading hours in traffic for minutes in the air, while connecting the biggest airports, business districts and sporting hubs in ways that America’s largest megaregion needs to grow.”

The announcement comes on the heels of Archer completing the Northern California leg of its ‘No Roads’ flight tour which included multiple flights over the San Francisco Bay. Flying into seven cities over a three day period, Archer gave people across the Bay Area a chance to see the benefits all-electric air taxis can bring to their communities: low noise, zero operating emissions, and the ability to skip over crowded highways.
These flights demonstrated Midnight’s ability to seamlessly integrate into complex urban airspace much like the skies above Houston, Dallas and Austin. Archer plans to fly in Los Angeles next in preparation for LA28 ahead of planned operations in Texas under the White House’s eVTOL Integration Pilot Program (eIPP). To give Texans an up close look at the new technology, Archer will display its Midnight aircraft at the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix from October 22–25.
