The ePlane Company and Apollo Hospitals Join Forces to Bring India’s Golden Hour Within Reach

Farnborough,United Kingdom, 23 July 2026 Every 3.5 minutes, someone in India dies in a road accident. With over 170,000 lives lost on Indian roads each year, and only 1 in 5 patients reaching trauma care within the critical “golden hour,” urban congestion and geographic distance remain some of the biggest barriers to survival – not the absence of medical expertise. To help close this gap, Ubifly Technologies Private Limited (“The ePlane Company”) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the Farnborough International Airshow 2026, on to bring electric air ambulances and medical delivery drones into India’s emergency healthcare system, connecting emergency patients across high-density urban corridors and remote access areas directly to the trauma care they need, without the delays of urban traffic or the expense of traditional helicopter transfers. Why the Golden Hour Matters For trauma, cardiac, and stroke patients, the first hour after an emergency often determines the difference between recovery and tragedy. Yet today, patients frequently lose that hour to traffic, distance, and the need to stabilize at any nearby facility before being moved again to specialized trauma care thereby losing precious time. This collaboration is designed to change that with a faster, more direct path from the point of emergency to definitive care. A New Kind of Emergency Network The collaboration brings together air and road ambulance network complementing one another:: Electric Air Ambulances: ePlane’s e200X aircraft, designed for rapid inter-hospital transfers, trauma response, cardiac and stroke emergencies, and organ transport, moving patients up to 7 times faster than road transport – at a fraction of the cost of a traditional helicopter transfer. Medical Delivery Drones: Through its subsidiary Amber Wings, ePlane’s unmanned aerial vehicles are designed to rapidly move blood products, organs, vaccines, medicines, and diagnostic samples between facilities – cutting critical delivery times from hours to minutes. Apollo’s Network of 1066 ambulances, hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and diagnostic centers, A combination of above, creates the foundation for a connected emergency response system –  one that could bring life-saving care to some of India’s most congested and difficult to access cities. Looking Ahead As part of the collaboration, Apollo has indicated its intent to examine the possibility for orders for e200x air ambulances and Amber Wings’ medical delivery drones. The MOU also outlines the possibility of a future strategic investment by Apollo in ePlane, subject to future agreement on terms. Both parties intend to work with India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation and other relevant authorities to help bring this vision to life, alongside continued discussions on infrastructure needed to support these operations. Introducing Halo: Archer’s Commercial Variant of Dual-Use Autonomous VTOL Aircraft Platform Developed With Anduril

Anduril unveiled Thunder, the defense variant of the platform, on Monday at the Farnborough International Airshow. Archer Technology Stack This new dual-use autonomous VTOL aircraft platform, highlighted by its Halo (commercial) and Thunder (defense) variants, builds on eight years of eVTOL development and flight testing by Archer. It features a clean-sheet design, bringing the commercial VTOL sector’s rapid innovation in electric propulsion and rotor design directly into a performance-optimized configuration. At the core of the platform is innovation in hybrid-electric powertrain and optimum-speed tiltrotors: Hybrid-Electric Powertrain: A series hybrid-electric powertrain enables Halo to achieve significant range and endurance, while closely optimizing power through the full range of flight conditions. Starlink puts private aviation connectivity in the spotlight

High-speed onboard connectivity is moving from a premium extra towards an expected part of the private aviation experience, particularly as passengers grow used to being always connected. The shift is being accelerated by technologies such as Starlink, the satellite internet service developed by SpaceX, which provides high-speed, low-latency connectivity. Air India removes enroute fuel stop on Delhi-Toronto flights from 1 August 2026, deploys B787-9 featuring brand-new premium cabin interiors

Air India today announced a significant upgrade to its Delhi-Toronto service, with the deployment of its brand-new Boeing 787-9 aircraft on the route from 1 August 2026, enabling the airline to remove the enroute fuel stop at Vienna and operate the service non-stop. The removal of the fuel stop is subject to available airspaces and is intended to reduce the current flying time from Delhi to Toronto by nearly three hours, with the flying time decreasing from about 20 hours currently (including the fuel stop) to 17 hours. The return Toronto-Delhi service will continue to operate non-stop, with flying time of up to 16 hours. The deployment of the new line-fit Boeing 787-9 aircraft, purpose-built for Air India, will make journeys between India and Canada faster and more convenient while bringing Air India’s latest onboard product and premium travel experience to Canada for the first time. From 1 August 2026, Air India will operate daily flights between Delhi and Toronto, up from the current five weekly flights. The airline had temporarily reduced frequency on the route between June and July 2026 due to unprecedented fuel price increases and broader geopolitical developments that affected flight operating conditions. Eve Air Mobility and FDOT Partner to Advance Advanced Air Mobility in Florida
