Expleo and Deutsche Aircraft sign strategic agreement for engineering services

Weßling, Germany, 02 October 2025 : Expleo, provider of engineering, technology and consulting services, and Deutsche Aircraft announce the signing of a cooperation agreement to deliver engineering services for the aircraft programme. Gulf Air relaunches direct flights to New York

Muharraq, Bahrain – October 02, 2025: Gulf Air has relaunched its direct flights from Bahrain International Airport to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York.This move also highlights the commitment of both countries to strengthening ties and strategic partnership, opening up new horizons for developing relations in various commercial, cultural, and tourism sectors. First international charter flight lands in Goa, ushering in year-end travel surge

Pernem. October 3, 2025: The year-end peak tourism season in Goa commenced on a high note with the arrival of the first charter flight from Novosibirsk, Russia, at Manohar International Airport, Mopa. The guests were welcomed with the traditional Goan hospitality with cultural performances. This season will witness the introduction of three new weekly flights from Novosibirsk, Russia, landing at Manohar International Airport (MOPA). These additional services, together with the existing flights from Yekaterinburg and Moscow, increase Aeroflot’s operations to nine flights per week.The second 158 seater charter flight from Novosibirsk will land in Goa on 3 October at 06:00 AM. Yekaterinburg will connect to Goa with B737-800 flights carrying 158 passengers each, arriving on 4 October at 06:05 AM and again on 5 October at 08:05 AM. Adding further capacity, a direct service from Moscow on the larger A330-300 aircraft, offering 296 seats, is scheduled to arrive on 5 October at 09:00 AM. Expanding beyond Russia, international connectivity will be further enhanced as charter flights from Kazakhstan commence operations to Goa from 25 October 2025.The expanded network is expected to significantly increase the flow of international tourists into the state, particularly during the high-demand year-end season. This development opens new avenues for inbound tourism, diversifying source markets and strengthening Goa’s global reach. With more frequent connections, the charter flights will play a vital role in boosting tourist arrivals, supporting the state’s hospitality sector, and creating wider economic opportunities for local businesses. Minister for Tourism, Rohan A. Khaunte stated: “Goa is ready to welcome tourists with open arms as we step into a vibrant new season. The arrival of the first charter flight reaffirms Goa’s position as a preferred global destination. With enhanced safety, infrastructure, and immersive experiences, we are committed to ensuring that every visitor feels the warmth of Goan hospitality while discovering the unique blend of culture, traditions, and natural beauty our state offers” Director of Tourism, Kedar Naik, added : “The arrival of the first charter flights signals stronger connectivity for Goa, especially as we step into the peak season. This growth opens new opportunities for our local tourism stakeholders, from hospitality to transport, and ensures that the benefits of tourism are shared widely across the state.” The Department of Tourism continues to work closely with industry stakeholders to ensure that all incoming flights are met with organized arrivals, enhanced passenger services, and a warm Goan welcome. The 2025–26 charter season is expected to further boost international tourism, contributing to the state’s economy and promoting sustainable, inclusive growth across communities.

Embraer reports 62 aircraft delivered by Q3, surpassing 3Q24 mark

São Paulo, October 2, 2025: Embraer has delivered 62 aircraft in 3Q 25 as the result represented a marginal improvement compared to 2Q25 and 3Q24, when 61 and 59 jets were delivered, respectively. During 3Q25, 20 new commercial jets were delivered – more than half of them (11) were E195-E2 models, Embraer’s largest aircraft currently in production in the segment. In the period, the Commercial Aviation business unit outperformed 2Q25 as well as 3Q24, which recorded 19 and 16 deliveries, respectively. Embraer Executive Jets recorded 41 deliveries, compared with 38 jets delivered in 2Q25 and 41 in 3Q24. The highlight of the quarter was the Phenom 300, the fastest light jet in production and market leader for 13 consecutive years, with 20 units delivered. In Defense & Security, the company delivered 1 unit of its multi-mission military transport aircraft, the KC-390 Millennium, completing the overall total of 62 deliveries by the company in the quarter. Embraer’s deliveries estimates for the year are between 77 and 85 in Commercial Aviation in 2025 (midpoint 10% above year-over-year), and 145 to 155 jets in Executive Aviation (midpoint 15% above year-over-year).

Udan Yatri Cafe inaugurated at Vijayawada Int. Airport

Vijaywada, 30th Sept 2025: The Udan Yatri Cafe at Vijayawada International Airport was inaugurated by Minister of Civil Aviation Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapau today in the presence of Kesineni Sivanath, Member of Parliament, Vijayawada; Dr Sharad Kumar, Member (Operations), AAI; Dr H Srinivas, Member (HR), AAI and senior officials from AAI. The Udan Yatri Cafe will play a crucial role in enhancing the passenger experience by offering affordable, and quality food & beverages, including tea priced at Rs.10/-, coffee/snacks/sweets at Rs.20/-. With the inauguration of this facility, Vijayawada International Airport becomes the 7th airport (and 6th AAI airport) after Kolkata, Pune, Chennai, Bhubaneswar, Ahmedabad and Hollongi. During his inaugural address, Minister of Civil Aviation emphasized that the Udan Yatri Cafe initiative would ensure that no air passenger would travel with an unfilled stomach. He further announced that more Udan Yatri Cafes would be established at airports across the country in a phased manner. The HMCA also provided crucial update on the future developments at Vijayawada International Airport. He mentioned that the construction of the New Integrated Terminal Building (NITB) is in progress and is expected to be completed within the next few months. Upon completion, the new terminal will significantly increase passenger serving capacity. He further assured that a new international flight connection from Vijayawada to Singapore will be launched soon, and that new domestic routes to Ahmedabad, Varanasi, and Pune would be established in the near future. As part of the ‘Ek Ped Maa ke Naam’ initiative, a sapling was also planted by the Minister of Civil Aviation in the cityside of the airport.

Air India & Airbus set up Advanced Pilot Training Hub in Gurugram

Gurugram,30 September 2025: Air India and Airbus have inaugurated an advanced pilot training center at the Air India Aviation Training Academy in Gurugram. This state-of-the-art facility will train more than 5,000 new pilots over the next decade to support the exponential growth of commercial aviation in India. The 50:50 joint venture facility was inaugurated by the Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu in the presence of Christian Scherer, Chief Executive Officer, Commercial Aircraft, Airbus, Campbell Wilson, MD & CEO, Air India and other dignitaries from Tata Group, Air India and Airbus. The new 12,000 sq metre center will be equipped with 10 Full Flight Simulators (FFSs), alongwith advanced classrooms and briefing rooms. The facility is designed to train pilots for the Airbus A320 and A350 aircraft families and its courses are approved by both the DGCA and EASA.The facility is currently equipped with two Full Flight Simulators for Airbus A320 family aircraft. The remaining six A320 simulators and two A350 simulators will be installed progressively. Jürgen Westermeier, President & Managing Director, Airbus India and South Asia, said, “We are very proud to partner with Air India and the Tata Group on this critical infrastructure project. The inauguration of the training center is a testament to our shared vision for the future of Indian aviation. This is more than a joint venture; it is a strategic investment in the future of the Indian aerospace industry itself. DGCA grants Navi Mumbai Int. Airport Aerodrome Licence

The current edition of Aviation World has covered many areas of Aerospace & Defence based on the latest development in the sector. The front cover highlights three different images, first for the Union Civil Aviation Minister ….. who is leading from the front to steer Indian Civil Aviation sector to witness one of the most interesting phases. He is also facing most tumultuous timing due to the ongoing financial stress in the Aviation sector due to ATF rising cost and long airspace restrictions resulting in mounting losses for Indian carriers. Despite of all the ground level challenges,the minister is addressing new things on regular basis which keeps the sector motivated. We have featured many such developmental works in this edition done under his guidance which will be interesting to read.

Our lead story on “ The West War” is another important feature which covers the ground level reality of the challenges faced by the Aviation sector. Its though time ahead and we believe it will pass soon .
