BAA Training France certifies world’s first A320 FFS Airbus standard 2.2.1

Paris, 8th July 2026: BAA Training France has become the first aviation training center worldwide to operate an Airbus A320 Full Flight Simulator (FFS), certified to the new Airbus Standard 2.2.1 and declared ready for training (RFT). The simulator is owned by Transavia France, the Air France-KLM Group low-cost carrier, and is operated and maintained by BAA Training. It is now available for training to airlines and operators globally. As airlines continue introducing newer A320neo aircraft into their fleets, access to training devices aligned with the latest aircraft standards is becoming increasingly important for maintaining pilot readiness, operational consistency and safety. The latest Airbus standard ensures continued alignment with the most recent A320neo aircraft developments, enabling pilots to train in an environment that accurately reflects current airline operations. Advanced capabilities include Air Traffic Services Unit with Future Air Navigation System C standard (ATSU FANS-C), updated digital Radio Management Panel (RMP), improved Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) functionality, as well as enhancements contributing to increased safety and improved pilot workload management. This certification marks another significant milestone for BAA Training, bringing the total number of certified FFSs across its global training network to 17. The partnership between Transavia France and BAA Training enables airlines to train crews on a simulator that is fully aligned with the latest A320neo aircraft configuration currently entering service. “This certification reflects our commitment to delivering the most advanced and up-to-date training solutions for our airline partners,” said Vytautas Ledakas, Chief Simulator Training Officer at BAA Training. “By operating and maintaining this state-of-the-art simulator, we ensure pilots are trained in an environment that mirrors today’s real-world operations, while providing our partners with the highest level of training quality and reliability.” With this certification, BAA Training France further strengthens its position as the largest training center within the BAA Training network, offering comprehensive training capabilities for Airbus A320neo, Boeing 737NG and Boeing 747-400, including dry and wet lease solutions, as well as cabin crew training facilities.

Globe Air Cargo Canada and French Bee renew GSSA partnership

Paris,8th July 2026: French Bee, the leisure carrier from France, has extended its GSSA contract with Globe Air Cargo Canada, ensuring the continuation of a unique, direct cargo corridor between Canada and France’s Paris – Orly Airport. This will provide swift access to the world’s largest food market, Rungis, and other European gateways. The renewed agreement, effective for a further three years, covers Canada and confirms the ongoing, successful collaboration between French Bee and Globe Air Cargo Canada across North America. This partnership is particularly significant for Canadian exporters. French Bee is the only carrier to operate direct wide-body cargo capacity between Montreal-Trudeau (YUL) to Paris-Orly (ORY), connecting the two cities in just 7 hours. The Airbus A350-900 and A350-1000 service flies three time a week during the winter, and daily during the summer aircraft, offering up to 15 tonnes of weekly cargo capacity. “This renewed agreement gives our customers continued access to a truly differentiated transatlantic solution,” says Elena Garduño, Commercial Director of Globe Air Cargo Canada. “French Bee’s direct Montreal-Orly service offers a compelling alternative for time and temperature-sensitive cargo, combining modern A350 capacity, reliable operations and fast access to the Paris region and beyond, through a far less congested airport environment. This is currently the best transatlantic air cargo connection to Rungis International Market, and there is great potential for an even stronger market share of perishables, healthcare products and general cargo flows between Canada and Europe. Globe Air Cargo Canada is here to maximise these businesses for French Bee and its many international customers.” Paris-Orly’s proximity to Rungis International Market, the world’s largest fresh produce market, makes the service especially attractive for perishables moving from Canada into France and wider Europe. Beyond the Rungis connection, the direct Orly gateway also supports general cargo, e-commerce, retail freight and temperature-controlled healthcare shipments. Customers benefit from an extensive, scheduled road feeder service across Europe, connecting to major European hubs such as Amsterdam (AMS), Brussels (BRU), and Luxembourg (LUX), as well as reliable transit connections to French Overseas Territories destinations including Saint-Denis (RUN), Fort-de-France (FDF), Pointe-à-Pitre (PTP), Cayenne (CAY), Santo Domingo (SDQ) and Saint Martin (SXM). Globe Air Cargo Canada will focus on growing perishables traffic from Canada, increasing awareness of French Bee’s unique Orly service and developing additional opportunities for healthcare and high-value time-sensitive shipments. An e-booking option with dynamic pricing is also expected to become available, supporting even greater speed and flexibility for customers.

FL Technics Indonesia opens aircraft painting facility in Bali

Bali, Denpasar, 8th July 2026: FL Technics Indonesia, the FAA Part-145 certified MRO provider, has opened a new aircraft painting facility at its Denpasar, Bali facility. The painting booth marks a significant expansion of the company’s full-service maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) capabilities in Southeast Asia. On 30 June 2026, just days after the painting facility launched, FL Technics Indonesia also received  its first customer, Skyway Airlines, a Philippine air cargo carrier operating Boeing 737-400F freighter aircraft. The project involved repainting the airline’s third aircraft, which was later ferried to Clark International Airport in the Philippines for its inaugural ceremony on 3 July 2026. “The addition of a dedicated painting booth in Bali is part of our commitment to building a truly full-service MRO capability in the region,” said Martynas Grigas, Chairman of FL Technics Indonesia. “We are pleased to welcome our valued customers, Skyway Airlines, as the first to utilize this facility. Several more painting projects have been secured over the next couple of months, and we also received significant further demand as more operators across Southeast Asia are looking for this capability.” The new painting facility adds to FL Technics Indonesia’s existing MRO capabilities across its dual-station network. Currently, the company’s two facilities at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta and I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali hold more than 20 approvals from the civil aviation authority, supported by a team of more than 700 aviation experts. Built to the highest industry standards, the Bali painting booth is equipped to handle complex livery projects with precision, efficiency, and full regulatory compliance. The Bali facility’s location is particularly well-suited to serve carriers operating across Indonesia and the wider Southeast Asian region, reducing the need for extended ferry flights or overseas maintenance programs. The launch of the painting booth comes at a time of growing demand for MRO services across Southeast Asia. Extended aircraft delivery backlogs have increased the strategic importance of lifecycle extension and fleet maintenance services, including livery repaints to support rebranding, wet-lease transitions, and return-to-service programs. For cargo operators, maintaining aircraft closer to base reduces operational downtime and associated ferry flight costs.
